WedClarity publishes wedding-planning guides and calculators for couples in the United States. The editorial team is the operating publisher of this site. There is no panel of invented experts, no stock-photo advisory board, and no contributor who did not write what is under their name.

The premise

Most wedding-planning questions are arithmetic problems wearing a costume. What does cutting twenty guests actually save once the venue minimum is in the way? Which of two venue quotes is cheaper after you price the lines neither of them mentions? How late can the RSVP deadline be before the caterer's final count is at risk?

Those questions have answers. The answers come from your own quotes and your own guest list, not from a national average that was collected from people who are not you, in a year that is not this one, in a city you do not live in.

What the site does

Two things. It explains the method — which questions to ask, which lines to compare, what changes the total — and it gives you a calculator that runs that method on your numbers. The calculators are ordinary arithmetic, executed on the server and shown back to you with the steps. Nothing you type is stored, attached to an account, or sent to analytics.

No result is a prediction of what a vendor will charge you. It is what the figures you entered add up to.

What it will not do

• Quote you a national average cost for anything.
• Publish a statistic, a price or a date we cannot trace to something checkable.
• Claim to have attended, tested, tasted or surveyed anything we did not.
• Recommend a vendor because they pay us. Where a page can carry an affiliate link, the link is marked, the disclosure sits beside it rather than in the footer, and the page says plainly which rows pay a commission and which do not.
• Pass your details to anyone. A quote request is the only place we ask for them, and nothing moves until you submit the form with the consent box ticked.

A comparison page that would need provider prices we have not verified is held back rather than softened into something vaguer. If you find a page that reads as though it is missing the recommendation, that is usually why.

How pages are made

Openly: the editorial approach page describes the whole production line, including where a language model is used, what it is structurally unable to return, and the automated check that blocks publication when a page shows a figure no calculation supports.

Photography

Site photography is licensed stock. It is not a photograph of a real couple, a real venue or a product described on the page, and it is never used to illustrate a specific quote. Photographer credits appear beneath each image.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say that we did. A correction that changes the substance of a page produces a new revision with a record of what changed. The contact page is the way in.
